After back-to-back draws, Denmark is searching for the points they need to progress from Group C, and the same goes for Serbia after their last-ditch draw. The two teams will clash in Munich on Tuesday. Read on for our Denmark vs Serbia predictions.

Denmark vs Serbia prediction

For the Denmark vs Serbia match prediction, we believe the final score will be 3-1 in favor of Denmark based on our analysis.

The Danes showed a lot of quality against England last time out, arguably enough to get the win, so they can be expected to overpower a Serbian side that has strength in attack but lacks solidity at the back.

Our predictions for Denmark vs Serbia are as follows, with analysis to follow:

Denmark vs Serbia head-to-head statistics

This will be just the fourth meeting between these two teams. They first met in 2014, when Denmark won 3-1. Denmark has also picked up 2-0 and 3-0 wins against Serbia since then.

Denmark vs Serbia preview

This match will take place on 06/25/2024 at Allianz Arena in Munich. Kickoff is set for 3:00 PM EST.

After a respectable but slightly underwhelming effort against a Slovenian side ranked 36 places below them according to FIFA, Denmark took a step in the right direction on matchday two.

Despite being seen as big underdogs in the betting, the men in red took the fight to England and were the better team for much of the contest, particularly in terms of forward intent and overall intensity.

After going behind somewhat unfortunately, Denmark steadied themselves, equalizing via a beautiful hit from midfielder Morten Hjulmand.

Following their equalizer, Denmark had the better of the contest and came close to a second goal on numerous occasions. Following that very encouraging performance, they’ll fancy themselves to beat Serbia.

As for Serbia, after their defeat to England, and after they went behind to Slovenia on matchday two, they were a whisker away from entering this third and final group game without hope.

Fortunately, Luka Jovic’s header in the dying moments of that game against Slovenia means that Serbia is still alive and can still qualify. To do that, though, they’ll almost certainly have to beat Denmark.

Based on what we’ve seen so far, can Dragan Stojković’s men get three points here? Well, anything can happen, but if we’re being honest, it’s fair to say that they’ve shown little to suggest they’ll win this game.

Denmark vs Serbia betting picks

There are two bets that stand out looking at the early odds ahead of this fixture:

Denmark to Win

I was expecting Denmark to be favored more heavily here, which based on what we’ve seen so far, wouldn’t be unfair. At +120 with bet365, Kasper Hjulmand’s men are worth taking to get the job done.

The way this Denmark team went about their business against England was positive, much more positive than what Serbia did against the same opponents.

While Serbia showed a sizable amount of fear against England, failing to create chances and testing Jordan Pickford just once, from range at that, Denmark created plenty and even had England on the ropes for sizable portions.

It’s hard to overlook the contrasting efforts delivered between the pair against England, while it’s also fair to say that Denmark created a more positive impression against Slovenia, enough so for them to be even stronger favorites in my book.

Denmark to Score Over 1.5 Goals

Denmark is yet to score twice in a single game at Euro 2024, having notched once against Slovenia and once against England, who’ve had less lion and more frightened kitten about them in Germany, but that’s another matter.

Despite not scoring twice, this Danish side has played some very promising offensive football, so much so that they could very easily explode into goal-scoring life against a weak-looking Serbian side. The early odds may not accurately reflect this.

We’ve seen Kasper Hjulmand’s side create chances at this tournament, and we know they’ve got offensive quality. That quality is enough to do lots of damage against a poor Serbian back-line, one that has so far been fortunate to escape conceding multiple goals in a single fixture.

Morten Hjulmand to be Booked

Morten Hjulmand introduced himself to a wider soccer audience with that sweet strike that left Jordan Pickford helpless against England, but to fans of Sporting Lisbon, he’s already recognized as a useful player.

Hjulmand is also known by Sporting fans as a player who has a habit of getting his name taken by referees.

In the Portuguese league last season, the Dane picked up no less than 12 yellow cards, which is plenty, but given that he made only 30 appearances, playing a total of 24.3 90’s, that’s an awful lot.

Not only did Hjulmand pick up an average of 0.49 yellow cards per 90 minutes in Portugal last season, but he’s already been in the book at this tournament, receiving a yellow against Slovenia on matchday one.

With this being a high-pressure game, one that both teams will be keen to win, Hjulmand’s energy in midfield will be important, but we should not be surprised if he’s once again reprimanded. At odds of +350, he’s definitely worth betting on to be booked for the second time at Euro 2024.
