Caesars is one of the most popular betting sites not only in the US but internationally. The company has a great reputation and stellar reviews, and from the outside at least, looks like a pretty perfect betting platform.

But, is this all just hype and marketing, or is Caesars worth your attention in 2024?

In this review, I will answer this question by breaking down every aspect of the Caesars platform, using my personal experiences to conclude whether or not this betting site is worthwhile in 2024.

We use a points-based system, to calculate an objective, overall star-based rating. For more information on how we rate view here.

Overall rating – 4.5 stars

Overall, I give Caesars a rating of 4.5 stars based on an average of 87.9% and an overall score of 79.1.

Caesars is an incredibly strong betting site, with great in-play betting, strong safety, and a stellar mobile app.

However, the somewhat limited range of markets and average welcome incentive may deter some users looking to bet on less popular sports.

Caesars is an incredibly safe platform, both from a legal and security perspective. Couple this with its excellent track record, and you won’t have to worry about depositing your hard-earned money onto the platform.

If you don’t live in one of these states, then unfortunately you will not be able to legally bet through Caesars.

However, the company is always expanding its reach, and will likely gain licenses in new states over the coming years.

Security

From a data protection perspective, Caesars also has you covered. The platform makes use of SSL certificates, which encrypts your data, protecting it from being stolen by online hackers.

Track record

Aside from this, Caesars has a richer history than virtually all of its competitors.

The company was first formed back in 1973, and over the past nine decades has built a reputation for being trustworthy and honest.

Couple this with the company’s acquisition of William Hill in 2021, which added decades more to the company’s track record, and you can rest assured that Caesars will treat you and your money fairly.

Pros

  • Holds licenses in over a dozen states

  • Great security software

  • Nine decades of reputation

Cons

  • None

Mobile betting app – 5 stars

Caesars’ mobile app is pretty much as good as it gets in the betting industry.

Everything is easy to find, the overall design is great and I also didn’t have any complaints from a performance perspective.

Look and feel

The Caesars mobile app sports a black, white, and green color scheme, which doesn’t look very dissimilar from the DraftKings app.

Nevertheless, it’s a very professional design. I particularly liked how only essential information is displayed at any one time, so you’re not overwhelmed with unnecessary text and small print. You can also change to a light theme if you’d prefer.

You can make changes to your account at any time by clicking your profile picture in the top right-hand corner. This will take you to a separate menu where you can change your account details, deposit funds, etc.

At the bottom of your screen, you’ll find a handy navigation menu, with shortcuts to the home screen, promos, your bets, and an open search bar.

Making a bet

To make a bet through Caesars’ mobile app, follow these steps:

  • Download the Caesars app and create an account. Once your account has been verified, you’ll be able to make a bet.

  • Use the drop-down menu or search bar to find the event that you would like to make a bet on.

  • Select the correct wager you want to place as well as the amount that you’d like to bet.

  • Hit the ‘Place Bet’ button to confirm your choice.

User experience

My first impression of Caesars’ mobile app was very positive, and as I started to use it more, my initial impression was only confirmed further.

You can tell that a lot of effort has gone into designing the app because everything feels deliberate, the navigation is perfect and you don’t get overloaded with information on every page.

This makes placing a bet a joy, rather than a chore that involves flicking through countless tabs and searching through dozens of markets.

The free-hand search bar was particularly useful, and from my testing very accurate. It allows you to find anything from a player to a whole league at any given moment, speeding up bets significantly.

Finally, it’s worth noting just how well the sports betting app itself performs. I didn’t experience any periods of lag, a crash, or a significant bug. This made my experience a little bit better.

Pros

  • Sleek design

  • High-quality performance

  • Making a bet is simple

Cons

  • None

Website – 4.5 stars

Just like the mobile app, Caesars’ website is flawless and makes betting a hassle-free process.

Caesars' website homepage
Caesars' website homepage

Look and feel

Like the mobile app, the website sports a very simple, black-and-white design. Some may call this boring. I, however, enjoyed the overall simplicity, and the white background did make the fonts, icons, and emojis stand out and pop.

The similarity in the design between the mobile app and website helped the two platforms to feel connected. In fact, at times, I couldn’t tell the difference between the two. This made switching between each platform quick and easy.

The functionality of the website is also excellent.

The left-hand sports menu, coupled with the betslip menu on the right make it incredibly easy to see how much you’re betting and what you’re betting on, and Caesars did a really good job of making use of all the available screen space.

User experience

My overall experience with Caesars’ website was excellent. It performed perfectly, the navigation was flawless and the simple design made it so I knew exactly what I was viewing at all times.

I found navigating through the website a little easier than with the app, mainly due to the bigger screen.

This, in my view at least, makes the website a better choice if you’re betting from the comfort of your own home.

If, however, you’re on the go, the mobile app makes for the perfect companion, albeit one with a different design.

Pros

  • Great navigation

  • Simple but effective design

Cons

  • Design to some is overly simplistic

Deposits and withdrawals – 4.5 stars

Caesars has a great range of deposit and withdrawal methods available, all of which are simple to complete and free.

The only flaw I could find was the lack of crypto payment options.

Deposits

The first thing to note is just how many deposit methods are available to you through Caesars.

At the time of writing, these include:

  • Visa

  • Mastercard

  • Maestro

  • Venmo

  • Discover

  • PayPal

  • Bank Wire/Transfer

All of these payment methods are completely free to use and will be processed instantly. The minimum deposit amount is also nice and low at just $10. Therefore, even if you’re just a casual bettor, you shouldn’t run into any issues when funding your account.

The only payment option missing is some form of crypto payment. As this method becomes more popular, Caesars and other betting sites will almost inevitably add them.

However, if you’re looking to pay through a crypto wallet right now, you will be left disappointed.

Making a deposit

To deposit with Caesars, follow these steps:

  • Create an account, and once logged in, click your profile picture in the top right-hand corner. This will take you to a new menu.

  • You should be able to find a ‘deposit’ icon. Click this to be taken to the deposit screen.

  • Click on your desired payment method, choose how much you’d like to deposit, and fill out any required information.

  • Hit confirm!

Withdrawals

Withdrawals can be made by the same methods as above and are likewise completely free to make. The minimum withdrawal amount is also pretty low at $10.

Depending on your withdrawal method, withdrawals may be instant, or take up to five working days to hit your account.

Making a withdrawal

To withdraw funds from your Caesar’s account, follow these steps:

  • Log in to your account and head to the profile menu by clicking on your profile picture.

  • Click the ‘withdraw’ option

  • Choose how much you’d like to withdraw and select the desired payment method

  • Hit confirm!

Pros

  • Easy to make a deposit and withdrawal

  • Deposits and withdrawals are free

  • Plenty of methods available

  • Low minimum deposit and withdrawal amount

Cons

  • No crypto payments are available

Markets – 4 stars

Caesars does an excellent job at covering the major US leagues and other popular sports.

However, the coverage of more niche sports is much lower than competitors such as FanDuel.

Sports

Caesars does an awesome job of covering the most popular sports in the US.

The four big leagues (NBA, MLB, NFL, NHL) are covered absolutely, and you’ll be able to make any bet you could think of. Other popular sports like boxing, F1, and soccer are also covered well.

However, the less popular, more niche sports are not covered as well as on competitor sites.

Cricket, for instance, features very minimal markets and some sports like Aussie rules and volleyball are flat-out missing.

Therefore, if you are looking to bet on these types of sports, Caesars may not be the best option for you.

Bets

Within each of these markets, you can make a variety of bets including:

  • Straight Bets. Straight bets are your standard bets, including money lines, over/under, props and point spreads. Most bettors stick to these bets, as they’re simple to understand and easy to execute.

  • Futures. If you’re in it for the long haul, you can also make ‘futures’ bets, which are bets made predicting the outcome of future events such as the winner of a certain league, or whether a big boxing match will happen in the next 12 months, for instance. These are much riskier bets, with huge potential for reward.

  • Parlays. Parlays allow you to merge several bets into one wager. To win, you’ll need to be correct on every pick. The potential for reward, however, is exponentially higher.

  • Live Bets. Finally, Caesars has a great selection of live bets that change as the events of a certain match unfold. For more details on this, check out the in-play betting section.

Pros

  • Great coverage of US major leagues and sports

  • Plenty of betting options available

Cons

  • More niche sports are not well-covered

Pre-match betting – 4.5 stars

Caesars has great pre-match coverage of the sports that it offers, and you’ll be able to find pretty much any wager you could think of.

However, the fact that so many markets are missing does limit the overall pre-match coverage.

Coverage

The coverage of the sports that Caesars does provide is excellent. For any given sport, you will be able to find hundreds of wagers available, both pre-match and long-term.

This diversity ensures that no matter your requirements, Caesars will be able to provide.

However, because the overall selection of markets is weaker than rivals such as DraftKings, overall pre-match coverage is slightly weaker.

Nevertheless, this is only a problem for a minority of sports, and most people won’t face an issue.

Pros

  • Great coverage of the sports available

  • The mixture of pre-match and long-term wagers

Cons

  • Limited range of sports compared to other sites

In-play betting – 5 stars

Caesars’ in-play betting is phenomenal, thanks to a wide selection of markets, a smooth betting process, and a strong live streaming service.

Markets

Caesars’ selection of live markets is particularly impressive. You’ll find every major league game covered across the year, with a variety of live betting options, covering everything from the final result to the result of the next point/play.

However, it’s not just the major American leagues that are covered. Caesars offers live betting on virtually all of its sports, from soccer in Europe to tennis matches in South America.

The updates are also instantaneous, meaning you don’t have to constantly refresh your app/tab to see updated odds, which makes placing a live bet a lot more enjoyable.

You can find Caesars’ selection of live markets at any time by hitting the ‘Live’ tab at the top of the menu.

Live streaming

The cherry on top of Caesars’ in-play betting is its live streaming service. Thanks to a partnership with the NFL, you can watch live NFL games completely for free through the Caesars app.

No other US betting app and site can offer this, and if you’re an NFL fan, this service alone is reason enough to give Caesars a try.

Pros

  • Great coverage of live games, both domestic and abroad

  • Live NFL streaming service

Cons

  • None

Welcome incentive – 4 stars

Caesars’ welcome incentive is solid, if unoriginal.

The bonus makes a nice addition to signing up but isn’t a reason alone to give the platform a try.

2024 incentive

When a new user signs up with Caesars, they will be given a no-sweat first bet up to $1,000.

Essentially, if you lose your first qualifying bet through the platform, Caesars will reimburse your account for the amount you lost, up to $1,000.

How to redeem

To redeem this promotion, follow these steps:

  • Create a new account with Caesars.

  • Deposit at least $10 into your account.

  • Make a qualifying bet of at least $10.

  • If you lose the wager, the money will be credited to your account within seven business days.

Other promotions

Aside from this, Caesars is currently running plenty of other exciting promotions, including:

  • Extra Reward Credits. When you first wager $25 or more, Caesars will credit your account with an extra 2,5000 reward credits. These can be used to make further bets, or redeemed at Caesars’ casinos or restaurants for money off your bill.

  • Caesar’s credit card. If you’re looking to earn even more reward points, Caesars has its own credit cards, which will earn you points for every single purchase. Over time, this can equate to a lot of free bets!

  • Parlay Boost. Finally, certain parlays can be boosted by up to 50% through various one-time promotions. These can be viewed in the ‘Promotions’ tab.

Comparative offers

This welcome offer is strong, but it also isn’t exactly original.

DraftKings, for instance, is currently offering the same welcome bonus. This does show that the offer is appealing, or else competitors wouldn’t be offering the same incentive.

However, it would be nice to see a company as big as Caesars offer something more original to new users.

Pros

  • Solid sign-up bonus

  • A wealth of other promos

Cons

  • Other platforms offer the same incentive.

Customer service – 4.5 stars

On the whole, Caesars’ customer service is very strong.

There are three ways to contact a team member, and response times are normally very quick.

However, some users have reported a bad experience, such as unread emails and long live chat queues.

Live chat

The first way to contact a member of Caesars’ customer support team is through its dedicated live chat service.

This is available 24/7, and from my experience, it doesn’t take long to connect to an agent. The agents are also helpful and polite.

However, it is worth noting that some users have reported very long queues, particularly at peak times.

Telephone

If you prefer to chat via a phone call, Caesars also has a dedicated phone line. The company’s phone support is particularly good, and if you do have an urgent query, it’s probably the best way to reach out.

Email

The final way to contact the customer support team is via email. Generally, your email will be responded to very quickly, and replies come loaded with a detailed response and links to FAQ sections for further guidance.

However, several users have reported particularly long response times, while others have mentioned that their email was never responded to. This does take away from Caesars’ otherwise excellent customer service.

Pros

  • Plenty of ways to get in touch

  • Response times are normally pretty quick

Cons

  • Some users have reported poor wait times and unopened emails

How to open an account with Caesars Sportsbook?

Here's how to create an account.

Step 1: Select your state and tap the continue button
Step 2: Enter your email address and add a promo code
Step 3: Create a password and add your phone number
Step 4: Enter your first and last name, date of birth, home address, and SSN
Step 5: Agree to the T&Cs and tap the submit button

Final thoughts

Ultimately, it’s clear that when it comes to sports betting, Caesars is one of the best sportsbooks in the country.

The company has decades of experience in the game, and this is evidenced everywhere from the high-quality mobile app to the brilliant live-betting coverage.

The only reason that I wouldn’t recommend Caesars is if you’re trying to bet on a niche sport that isn’t covered by the platform.

If however, the sports that you do want to bet on are covered, few other sites come close to what Caesars can offer.

How to gamble responsibly

Before we end this article, we need to caution you to always bet responsibly.

To ensure you’re being cautious, betting sites implement various responsible gambling practices that will help you keep your betting habits in check.

  • Limits: Online sports betting apps allow you to set betting limits, i.e. limit how much you can bet in a day, a week, or a month.

  • Cashouts: You can withdraw your winnings quite easily from any betting platform. This prevents you from spending all of your winnings. There’s also the option for early cashout, so you can still get paid if the bet is starting to go sideways.

  • Help & resources: Betting apps provide access to resources for problem gamblers and point them to organizations that can help with gambling addiction.

To help with gambling, we created a 'how to bet on sports' guide, that helps new sports bettors understand the industry better, to play safer and more securely.
