Hungary vs Switzerland - Rolland Sallai Over 0.5 Shots on Target
Saturday’s Group A opener puts Hungary and Switzerland together in what could be a hard-fought, tight and ultimately low-scoring affair, as touched on in the Hungary vs Switzerland match preview.
One bet that stands out as far as acca-betting is concerned is ‘Rolland Sallai Over 0.5 Shots on Target’.
A fixture in the Hungary forward line, Sallai, who reliably plies his trade for Freiburg in the Bundesliga, knows all about playing football in Germany, so there will be no unfamiliar surroundings for him at this tournament, which I think is a plus point.
What’s more, he seems to do his best offensive work when in a Hungary shirt, scoring last time out in a final warm-up game against Israel.
Moreover, for Freiburg, the 27-year-old, averages a far from displeasing 0.93 shots on target per 90 minutes, which rises to 1.54 shots on target per game for Hungary (2024).
Spain vs Croatia - Croatia to Score Over 1.5 Goals
Look, I know that the Spanish are strongly fancied to get the job done here, and they may well do that, but coming out on top could require a high-scoring effort from La Roja as they’re up against a Croatian attack that looks very capable.
I touched on the fact that we could now see a more exciting Croatian team in my main prediction and tips article for this match, and I don't think we should be surprised if they cause Spain lots of problems.
The main catalyst is the fact that the Croatians thrived on the break against Portugal recently, delivering dangerous counter-attack after dangerous counter-attack in that final warm-up game, scoring twice.
We know all about Spain’s attacking threat, but have they got enough defensive solidity? I’m sceptical.
Moreover, this is a more direct Spanish team than in previous years, one that will push forward and leave space in behind at regular intervals. Such a fact makes 11/4 look like a generous price for this bet, especially with the players Croatia can call on offensively.
Italy vs Albania - Both Teams to Score
Let’s keep this one short and sweet. As talked about when previewing Italy vs Albania in much more detail, there’s plenty (in my eyes at least) to suggest that the Albanians can cause a few problems for the Italians here.
All things considered, ‘Both teams to Score’ looks generously priced at odds of 11/8 with bet365, so much so that it’s worth adding to Saturday’s acca.
