I've already spoken about how this fixture has ‘Both Teams To Score’ written all over it. The English have more than enough offensive quality to hurt a Serbian defence that keeps very few clean sheets, while the Serbs also have the firepower to do some damage against a back-line that may be missing its best player in John Stones.

At odds of even-money with bet365, there’s plenty to like about ‘Both Teams to Score’, that’s for sure.

Dusan Vlahovic Over 0.5 Shots on Target

Again, one of my two main bets ahead of this game, as mentioned in the Serbia vs England predictions and tips article, and at odds of 5/4, which really do look generous, this really is an easy inclusion here.

Vlahovic is dangerous, make no mistake about that, and given half a chance he won’t hesitate to get shots off. The Juventus man averages comfortably more than a single shot on target per game domestically, while he’s a regular tester of keepers for Serbia, or has been in 2024, averaging 2.24 shots on target per 90 minutes.

Harry Kane to Score or Assist

If the Three Lions are going to roar at any sort of significant decibel in Germany and indeed in this opening game, then Harry Kane is going to play a big part, let’s be honest.

The much examined switch to the Bundesliga provoked a career-best season in terms of goals and assists, with the England captain averaging 1.17 per game, while he bagged eight goals and two set-ups in Euro qualifying.

When it comes to England players, Southgate’s talisman is the one to include in bet builders ahead of this opening game as far as I’m concerned.

England Over 12.5 Shots

In a way, the fact that the English delivered a complacent and disappointing effort against Iceland is perhaps a positive.

That rather dreadful warm-up effort means that the Three Lions will be keen to deliver a much more fired-up and energetic attacking performance here, so expect them to fire plenty of shots in the direction of the Serbian goal.

Interestingly, the English have taken at least 13 shots in all of their four games played during the current calendar year.

Over 6 Match Corners

Let’s round this off with more than six corners in the match. Southgate’s men will come out and push forward in this game, they simply have to, not only to assert themselves as top dogs in Group C, but to get supporters back on side following that woeful effort against Iceland.

With this in mind, we can expect the Three Lions to enjoy plenty of possession near the Serbian goal, so forcing no shortage of corners seems virtually nailed on.

After all, seven or more corner kicks have been taken in each of England’s last six fixtures, while the same can be said for each of Serbia’s last five.
