Thursday’s action will conclude with the small matter of two big nations doing battle at the Veltins Arena, where Spain and Italy clash at the Euros for the fourth time since 2012.

For England fans, the biggest game of the day is the one involving the Three Lions, but after that, Spain vs Italy is an excellent way to round off the day, so let’s see if we can finish in style with a nice little bet builder. Read on for our bet builder predictions.

Spain vs Italy bet builder tips

This match will be played on 20/06/2024 at Veltins Arena (Gelsenkirchen). Kick off is at 20:00 GMT.

Having previewed this match in more detail, penning one value bet, let’s see if we can kick things up a notch with a bet builder that pays 13/2 with bet365.

Federico Chiesa Over 0.5 Shots on Target

Federico Chiesa didn’t have much of a game as Italy eventually beat Albania without really expending too much effort, but the Juventus forward/winger could be much more suited by this sort of game.

Against Albania, who sat deep for most of the contest, Chiesa could get in behind and really threaten.

A threat on the break and direct, Chiesa is likely to enjoy the fact that Italy will be afforded space on the counter against the Spanish, which should see him more involved offensively.

Italy’s number 14 is certainly no stranger to shooting and he’s certainly no stranger to hitting the target, registering 2.55 shots on target per 90 minutes in qualifying.

Add in that he posted an average of 1.02 shots on target per 90 minutes in Serie A for Juventus last season and he’s a must include in this bet builder.

Over 4 Corners for Spain

This is going to be a different sort of game for the Spanish, who may have to adopt a more patient and probing approach as the Italians are unlikely to be as disorganised and open as the Croats were.

In games of this nature, a high-pressing team like La Roja tend to win their fair share of corners.

After all, they’ve forced more than four corners in each of their last seven games, while they registered five when they met Italy in the Nations League back in 2023.

Over 3 Match Cards

When these two old foes lock horns there’s not always loads of goals scored, but it’s usually quite feisty.

It’s fair to say that they usually keep referees busy, with five cards being shown when the pair met last year, while in the 2021 UEFA Nations League renewal of this fixture, we saw no less than seven cards shown.

Gianluigi Donnarumma Over 1.5 Saves

Last but certainly not least, it’s worth rounding this bet off with Italian keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma to make at least two saves.

The PSG shot stopper only needed to make one save against Albania, but if he thinks he’s in for just as easy a time here, he may need to think again.

When the pair met a year ago, he was called into action several times, making five saves, while he’s now made at least two saves in each of his three games against Spain since 2021.

There we go, a bet builder for Spain vs Italy:

  • Federico Chiesa Over 0.5 Shots on Target

  • Over 4 Corners for Spain

  • Over 3 Match Cards

  • Gianluigi Donnarumma Over 1.5 Saves
