Ahead of this colossal fixture, here’s a four-leg bet builder, paying 11/1 with bet365.

Memphis Depay Over 0.5 Shots on Target

Now just five goals away from being crowned as the Netherlands’ all-time top-scorer, Memphis Depay is a key man for the Dutch.

Depay didn’t register a shot on target in the first game, despite shooting four times, though he looked hungry for goals, while he ought to be suited by the more open nature of this fixture.

Depay is a clear threat on the break and it probably won’t be long before he notches, let alone registers a shot on target, especially as he averaged 1.51 shots on target per game in LaLiga last season.

Both Teams to Score

Les Bleus kept a clean sheet in their first match, but they didn’t do so through amazing defending or keeping things tight. With better finishing the Austrians would’ve scored, so don’t be surprised if the Dutch take advantage here.

However, for all they’ve got lots going for them offensively, the way the Polish forward-line managed to not only threaten but score against the Dutch back-line doesn’t exactly point towards them keeping a clean sheet against a French team that really does have an abundance of attacking talent.

Xavi Simons to Score or Assist

As mentioned in my Netherlands vs France preview, Xavi Simons looks generously priced to score or assist in this game, so he’s an easy inclusion here.

This is a player who has the rare luxury of playing this game at the home stadium of his club team, where he absolutely thrived last season.

On home soil in the Bundesliga, Xavi Simons was fantastic for Leipzig, scoring five and assisting eight in 16 games, averaging 0.81 goals/assists per game.

Marcus Thuram Over 0.5 Shots on Target

We’ll round things off with French forward Marcus Thuram, who is anything but shy to shoot, while he’s no stranger to shooting on target either.

The striker hit the target not once, but twice against Austria and he looked hungry for goals, so expect him to be direct in this game.

As he averaged 0.97 shots on target for Serie A champions Internazionale last season, he’s the man to be on for Les Bleus.
