The Championship returned last week and now it’s the turn of England’s top division. That’s right, the big boys are back in business this weekend. The Premier League returns starting on Friday night.
Saturday’s filled with top-flight football is what many have missed the most. Accumulator backers in particular will no doubt be licking their lips ahead of Saturday’s action. In honour of those who love an acca, let’s see what we can do. Read on for our Premier League accumulator tips.
Accumulator tips for today
All of the games featured in this accumulator are due to take place on 17/08/2024, starting at 15:00 GMT.
Three bets make up this accumulator bet, paying just over 5/1 (bet365), and I’ve once again gone down the player route. Let’s get into it.
Nottingham Forest vs Bournemouth - Callum Hudson-Odoi Over 0.5 Shots on Target
We’ll start with Callum Hudson-Odoi, who towards the end of the previous campaign, became a big, big player for Nottingham Forest.
With that spell under his belt, the English forward/winger looks set to be a key part of Nuno’s offensive plans.
Hudson-Odoi scored eight goals last term, scoring an average of 0.39 goals per 90 minutes, showing that he had absolutely no issue taking shots, averaging 1.84 shots per 90, a rather chunky 0.97 of which hit the target.
Arsenal vs Wolves - Matheus Cunha Over 0.5 Shots on Target
Arsenal are expected to dominate this game and the early market very much fancies them to pick up maximum points, which they likely will do.
However, we should not completely dismiss Wolves here. After all, Gary O’Neil’s men caused a few upsets last season, while they often looked a threat on the break, a tactic that could pay dividends at the Emirates on Saturday.
High up on the list of players looking to hurt opposing defences for Wolves is Matheus Cunha, who really did impress last time around.
The Brazilian forward scored 12 goals during the 2023/24 campaign, while he regularly got himself into strong shooting positions, pulling the trigger no less than 2.66 times per 90 minutes, averaging 1.33 shots on target. He’s a must for me.
Everton vs Brighton - Abdoulaye Doucoure Over 0.5 Shots on Target
Rounding things off we have Everton’s Abdoulaye Doucoure. Now, the somewhat make-shift forward wasn’t quite as dangerous as the two players above last season, but he did score seven goals, while he was particularly threatening during the early weeks.
The Mali international will be looking to help Everton make a positive start in front of a home crowd against Brighton on Saturday, that’s for sure.
No stranger to running beyond the primary central striker, Doucoure quietly went about his business last term, shooting with decent regularity. He averaged 1.66 shots per 90 minutes, as well 0.72 shots on target.
Recap - Premier League Accumulator tips for 17/08/2024
Here it is, a player-focused three-leg multi bet ahead of the first Saturday of the new Premier League season:
Callum Hudson-Odoi Over 0.5 Shots on Target

A three-fold accumulator made up of the above selections pays 5.44/1 with bet365.
