Both teams have shown a similar amount of quality at both ends of the pitch during the early weeks of the season, so it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if there wasn’t much between the pair.

Fulham vs West Ham head-to-head statistics
The teams last met back in April, when Fulham went to East London and returned with all three points, thanks to a 0-2 win. The Cottagers also beat West Ham by a resounding five goals to nil at Craven Cottage last season.
Fulham vs West Ham preview
This match will be played on 14/09/2024 at Craven Cottage. Kick off will be at 25:00 GMT.
Having lost to Manchester United on the opening night of the season, going down narrowly thanks to a late goal, but performing credibly, the Cottagers have ticked along nicely.
Marco Silva’s men beat Leicester on match-day two, while they avoided a potential banana-skin game away against Ipswich before the international break, drawing 1-1.
For the visitors, it’s been a bit of an up and down start. They underwhelmed against Aston Villa on match-day one, losing by two goals to one in front of a home crowd.
Julen Lopetegui’s men followed their opening-weekend defeat with an away-day win against Crystal Palace, though they couldn’t cope with the challenge of facing the champions last time out and now need to bounce back. Can they do that at Craven Cottage?
Fulham vs West Ham Betting tips
Two player bets stand out as the early odds:
Sander Berge to be Booked
Having served Sheffield United somewhat admirably for a few seasons, Sander Berge moved to Burnley ahead of the previous campaign, before abandoning the Turf Moor sinking ship over the summer, swimming to safety in West London.
The Norwegian midfielder looks like he’s going to be a permanent fixture in a team that as of this season is missing the presence of João Palhinha.
A combative yet creative midfielder, Berge could easily fill the gap left by the Portuguese player, even in ways that aren’t so desired.
Palhinha made a name for himself as something of a walking yellow card and Berge, who always shows an eagerness to be physical, is likely to be the same. Booked no less than ten times for the Clarets last season, the 26-year-old often gets himself in trouble.
A hard-hitting player, who always gets stuck in, Berge rates as a decent bet to go in the book against the Hammers. After all, 0.30 cards per 90 minutes last season, making odds of 7/2 look a little generous.
Jarrod Bowen Over 0.5 Assists
I’m also going to side with West Ham’s captain and talisman Jarrod Bowen to register an assist at potentially chunky odds of 5/1.
Known for his ability to score goals last season, Bowen’s creative capabilities sometimes go under the radar, but this is a man who can certainly tee up those around him in the final third.
Last season, Bowen chipped in with six assists, averaging 0.18 per 90 minutes. If we turn that 0.18 per 90 minutes into the Englishman assisting in 18% of his matches, we get odds of 4.56/1 (= 18% implied probability), so there may just be a slice of value to be had in taking odds of 5/1.
Recap - Fulham vs West Ham betting tips
To recap, the two bets advised ahead of this fixture are:
Sander Berge to be Booked @ 7/2 with bet365
Jarrod Bowen Over 0.5 Assists @ 5/1 with bet365
