A new week in British horse racing begins with four meetings on what for most of the country looks like being a wet and gloomy Monday. Hopefully we can brighten things up with a winner.
There are four meetings taking place on British shores this afternoon, with racing at Windsor, Thirsk, Kempton and Worcester, while the annual beach bonanza takes place at Laytown over in Ireland. Read on for our free horse racing tips.

14:15 Thirsk - Royal Accord to Win
Ahead of the second race at Thirsk this afternoon, a Class 6 Nursery over six furlongs, Royal Accord is very much a horse to be interested in.
The lightly raced Alice Haynes runner has had four runs so far, most notably finishing fourth at Lingfield on soft ground over this trip back in July. That race was arguably stronger than this, so don’t be surprised if the colt gets heavily involved here, especially as he may have come on since then.
I’m taken by this one as he rates well in terms of speed efforts, and as I say, if he steps forward just a little bit, he’ll be hard to beat given that this is a relatively weak contest.
The ground looks perfect, while Haynes has another runner here, one who likes to go off in front and should set a decent pace for his stablemate to aim at. That’s likely the plan anyway.
It’s also worth mentioning that the two-year-old ran respectable in a much hotter novice race than this back in May, with the chief protagonists since going on to prove better than this level. I wouldn’t be surprised if this one follows suit.
This looks a winnable race and I simply think Haynes’ runner has enough in favour to suggest that he should be favourite at slightly shorter odds, so while 9/2 is available, he’s worth betting on to get it done.
