We hit the post yesterday, with Skinny Malinka running a cracker, only to finish a close-up second. Of course, it would’ve been nice to collect the full amount, but we picked up a small each-way win, so it wasn’t the end of the world, that’s for sure.
Unlike Saturday’s, Sunday’s are typically quieter on the British horse racing front, and on this Sunday, we have just two meetings to focus on, both over the jumps. From a betting point of view, the final race at Kelso has caught my eye. Read on for our free horse racing tips.

17:00 Kelso - Summergrounds to Win
Ahead of the lucky last at Kelso on Sunday afternoon, Summergrounds looks primed to feature prominently, while to be honest, there’s enough about the gelding to suggest to me that he should be available at slightly less generous odds.
Nicky Richards’ runner hasn’t really done anything wrong of late, winning at Market Rasen in May, before placing twice since, finishing second from today’s mark of 94 at Perth just under a month ago. On that evidence, the return to better ground today will suit.
Still quite lightly raced, the eight-year-old remains with potential and I’m not sure that a mark of 94 will be his ceiling. Put it this way, there’s definitely another visit to the winner’s enclosure waiting for him from this sort of mark.
It’s worth mentioning that Richards is a trainer who does very well at Kelso, winning with 29.41% of the runners sent to the venue in the last year, while he has a promising strike rate when teaming up with 3 lb claiming jockey Connor Rabbit too.
Rabbit’s 3 lb claim leaves this runner looking nicely weighted against a few of these, which is not to be ignored, nor is the fact that he rates very highly in terms of speed ratings.
Quite simply, this fella has plenty in favour, that’s clear as day, so much so that odds of 5/1 offer value for money. He should be shorter and he may well be by the time they jump off, so if you’re looking to cut off a slice of value, take the early price.
