Slovakia vs Sweden Betting tips
At the early prices, two player bets appeals ahead of this fixture:
Lukas Haraslin to Score
As the Slovaks performed with plenty of credit at Euro 2024, few players impressed more than the tireless and hard-working Lukas Haraslin, who not only ran himself into the ground in all four of Slovakia’s games, but offered lots of end-product.
The Sparta Prague forward/winger has played with the same level of intensity and purpose at the start of this UEFA Nations League campaign too.
He may not have scored, but the 28-year-old has certainly looked hungry, shooting eight times in two appearances, registering averages of 4.16 shots and 1.04 shots on target per 90.
Throw into the mix that he’s scored three domestic goals so far this campaign, averaging 0.56 goals per 90 minutes, and at 3/1, he looks a decent bet to score, especially against a Sweden side that is likely to present the hosts with counter-attacking opportunities.
Viktor Gyökeres to Score
Right now, is there a more direct and threatening number nine than Viktor Gyökeres in world football? I seriously doubt it.
Just as he did last season, the Swedish striker has scored for fun in a Sporting Lisbon shirt this season, scoring a staggering 11 goals in eight league matches, also grabbing a goal in the UEFA Champions League.
The scorer of three goals last time out, Gyökeres has been in hot form for his nation too, so we really shouldn’t be surprised if he does the business on Friday night.
If we also consider that the 26-year-old powerhouse averages 1.25 xG per 90 minutes and 4.47 shots per 90 minutes domestically, odds of 7/4 look rather generous indeed. I wouldn’t be surprised if such odds have shortened by the time this one kicks off, so get in early.
