Following what was a fantastic win away at Newcastle last weekend, the Seagulls will be looking to fly even higher than their current lofty position of fifth now that they return home.

On Saturday afternoon, Wolves will go calling at Amex Stadium. While the hosts look for a third win on the bounce, the visitors are searching for their first win of the season. Read on for our Brighton vs Wolves predictions and tips.

Brighton vs Wolves prediction

For the Brighton vs Wolves match prediction, we believe the final score will be a 2-2 draw based on our analysis.

Sure, the Seagulls are in fine form, but they’ve conceded a few too many goals at home for my liking and have ridden their luck, while for all their flaws, the visitors can definitely hurt teams in the final third.

Brighton vs Wolves head-to-head statistics

This won’t be the first time that the pair have faced off this season. Back in September, they met in the EFL Cup, with Brighton winning 3-2 at this venue. Interestingly, Saturday’s visitors have won just one of their last seven games against Brighton, losing five of the other six.

Brighton vs Wolves preview

This match will be played on 26/10/2024 at Amex Stadium. Kick off will be at 15:00 GMT.

The Seagulls couldn’t really be in better shape ahead of this fixture. They’re coming off the back of two big wins against Spurs and Newcastle, which has put them in a rather favourable league position.

However, manager Fabian Hurzeler will likely be a little worried about the regularity with which his team is conceding goals at home. Sure, they’ve not tasted defeat at the Amex this season, but that’s not because they’ve made it tricky for teams to create.

For the visitors, the pressure is absolutely on, and nobody will be feeling the pressure more than Gary O’Neil, whose job as manager likely hangs by a thread following six straight defeats in all competitions.

In fairness, Saturday’s visitors haven’t been blessed by the fixture list this season. We’re just eight games in and they’ve already faced Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle, Aston Villa, Liverpool and Manchester City.

It’s absolutely fair to say that there will be easier days ahead for the Wolves boys, perhaps this will be one of them.

Brighton vs Wolves Betting tips

Just the one bet appeals ahead of this clash:

Wolves to Score Over 1.5 Goals

The Seagulls will naturally be popular in the betting here, so don’t be surprised if their price shortens, but even with three days to go before kick off, there already looks to be a fair amount of recency bias built into their odds.

As far as I’m concerned, as the table above suggests, betting on either the away win or the draw (or both) offers a smidgen of value, so don’t shy away from such bets if that’s what you fancy.

However, one bet that appears to be available at a very generous price is ‘Wolves to Score Over 1.5 Goals’. To be honest, 9/4 is a joke price and should be taken by those searching for value.

Let’s be real, Hurzeler’s men have looked very easy to breach at home, where they’ve conceded two or more goals in each of their last three in all competitions, including against Wolves in the EFL Cup.

The hosts have also shipped two or more goals in four of their last five games in general, while Gary O’Neil’s men, despite facing some very strong sides of late, have been scoring with regularity.

In fact, the visitors have scored in 100% of their games since losing to Arsenal on the opening day, scoring twice against both Chelsea and Brentford.

This Wolves team has no shortage of offensive talent, they’re good on the break, while I really wouldn’t be surprised if the likes of Matheus Cunha and Jorgen Strand Larsen bullied a Brighton back-line that looks very dodgy. I’ll be betting that they can do just that by scoring at least twice.
