Let down by just one leg last weekend, it was another case of close but no cigar on the accumulator front. Still, with two winners so far this season, we remain healthily in front from an acca point of view. Ahead of this weekend’s Premier League action, we’re back at it.

Saturday is a busy day as far as top-flight football in England is concerned, with seven fixtures for acca bettors to get stuck into. Read on for our Premier League accumulator tips.

Accumulator tips for today

All of the games featured in this accumulator are due to take place on 02/11/2024, with the first kicking off at 12:30 GMT, before the following two get underway at 15:00 GMT.

This acca is made up of just two bets, so strictly speaking, it’s not an accumulator, it’s just a double, but who cares? At 11/1, this is a juicy-looking double, make no mistake about that.

Newcastle vs Mikel Merino - Mikel Merino to Receive a Card

We’re going to kick things off with the early game, which sees Newcastle and Arsenal lock horns at St. James’ Park.

It was a feisty affair when the pair met in the North East last season and we could see something similar here, especially with both teams looking to regain the winning thread after failing to get the job done last weekend.

At odds of 12/5, Mikel Merino looks a great bet to go in the book here. Now fit again, the Spaniard is becoming an important presence in the Arsenal midfield. Clever on the ball, creative, but also destructive, Merino is no stranger to stepping outside of the rules.

The former Real Sociedad midfielder, who also had a spell at Newcastle, is yet to get booked this season, but he’s averaging an eye-catching 2.27 fouls per 90 minutes.

He’ll likely be locked in a battle with the aggravating Bruno Guimaraes, who has easily drawn the most fouls for the Magpies, so it really would be little surprise if the man who picked up 10 yellows in LaLiga last season, got his name taken.

Ipswich vs Leicester - Wilfred Ndidi to Receive a Card

Moving on, Leicester’s midfield destroyer Wilfred Ndidi is also very hard to resist at odds of 5/2. This is a man who is absolutely not averse to stealing the ref’s attention.

Booked three times this season already, Ndidi has somehow avoided being booked in each of his last three for club and country, though his next caution is likely right around the corner.

Let’s face it, this is not a player known for going long spells without receiving a card, and that’s because making relatively regular fouls are part and parcel of his role. The Nigerian has made more fouls than any other Leicester player this season, averaging 1.80 per 90 minutes.

Moreover, Ndidi tends to make more fouls away from home, giving up seven fouls in his last two away games for the Foxes.

Factor in that he’ll likely be locked in battle with the tenacious Kalvin Phillips, who has been drawing lots of fouls for Ipswich of late, and Ndidi is absolutely the man to round off this double.

Recap - Premier League Accumulator tips for 02/11/2024

There it is, a juicy double bet ahead of Saturday’s Premier League action:

  • Mikel Merino to Receive a Card (Newcastle vs Arsenal)

  • Wilfried Ndidi to Receive a Card (Ipswich vs Leicester)

The two selections above combined into a double pays 11/1 with Betfred.
