The weekend is once again on the horizon, much to the delight of accumulator bettors, who’ll be looking to strike it lucky ahead of the fixtures being played on Saturday afternoon.
There’s plenty of Premier League action for us to dive into on Saturday, with six fixtures taking place. Read on for our Premier League football accumulator tips.
Accumulator tips for today
All of the games featured in this accumulator are due to take place on 09/11/2024, with the first two starting at 15:00 GMT, before the final game kicks off at 17:30 GMT.
We’re once again heading down the player-bet road, with three selections making up an accumulator bet that pays over 16/1 with betway. Here goes.
Crystal Palace vs Fulham - Alex Iwobi Over 0.5 Shots on Target
We’ll kick things off with a bet on Alex Iwobi to register at least one shot on target as the Cottagers make the short journey to Selhurst Park, where they’ll take on Crystal Palace.
From a wide starting position, which often varies during the game, Iwobi has been finding himself in plenty of shooting positions in recent weeks, either as a result of running in behind on the break, or cutting inside against teams sitting deep, as was the case against Brentford on Monday night.
Having fired off five shots in his last two games, Iwobi recently worked the keeper against both Brentford and Everton, so don’t be surprised if he looks to test Dean Henderson in the Palace goal on Saturday.
Wolves vs Southampton - Matheus Cunha to Score or Assist
Moving on, as Wolves and Southampton go head-to-head at Molineux, I’m all over Matheus Cunha to either score or provide a goal for one of his colleagues.
In recent weeks, few players have looked more dangerous than the Brazilian winger/forward, who is starting to re-find the level of form that saw him hurt teams week in, week out last season. His performance last weekend against Palace was impressive, while his stats for the season in general are far from poor.
Cunha has scored four and assisted one in the league this season, averaging 0.56 goals and assists per 90 minutes.
An average of 0.58 xG+xGA per 90 minutes shows that Cunha’s stats are far from generous either, and as his team look set to hurt a weak Southampton rearguard on Saturday, he’s well worth supporting to do some damage.
Brighton vs Manchester City - Georginio Rutter to be Carded
We’ll round this one off with a bet on Brighton’s Georginio Rutter to pick up a card against Manchester City.
Following his switch from Leeds United in the summer, it took a little while for the French forward to settle in the Premier League this season, but he’s now a big part of Brighton’s offensive set-up, starting each of the last six league games.
In terms of his attacking output, Rutter has performed well since solidifying his starting position, but he’s also found himself on the wrong end of the referee’s whistle on a regular basis too.
Booked recently against Wolves, he seemingly can’t help himself from making silly challenges, fouling seven times in his last three appearances. Since the start of October, he averages 2.25 fouls per 90 minutes.
With Brighton likely to be on the backfoot against a City side desperate to adhere to recent slip-ups, Rutter, who has made more fouls than any other Brighton player in the league this term, will likely be tasked with tracking back and chasing the ball plenty, something that he’s no stranger to doing, but when he does that, he often makes fouls.
Given his overall infringement profile, the Brighton forward looks far too generously priced to get booked here, so I can think of no better selection to complete this accumulator.
