The UEFA Nations League gathers pace on Friday evening, with numerous games taking place across League A, C and D.
One of the most eye-catching fixtures in terms of betting is the one taking place at Parken Stadium, where Denmark and Spain will clash, not for the first time in recent months. Read on for our Denmark vs Spain predictions and tips.
Denmark vs Spain prediction
For the Denmark vs Spain match prediction, we believe the final score will be a 1-1 draw based on our analysis.
The Danes are at their best on home soil, so don’t expect them to roll over, while the Spanish, who are already through, don't exactly have everything to play for here, meaning that we could be in for a tight game.
Our Denmark vs Spain predictions and tips:
Christian Eriksen to Score @ 11/2 with betway
Martin Zubimendi to Receive a Card @ 7/2 with Betfred

Denmark vs Spain head-to-head statistics
This will be the second time that the pair have met during the current UEFA Nations League campaign. Back in October, the Spanish won by a goal to nil in Murcia, where they edged ahead thanks to a 79-minute goal from Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi.
Denmark vs Spain preview
This match will be played on 15/11/2024 at Parken Stadium. Kick off will be at 19:45 GMT.
For the Danes, who’ve likely had their sights set on a top-two finish in their League A section from the word go, this is a big game.
By no means easy to beat, they dug deep when facing the Spanish in Murcia back in October, but their rather defensive approach ultimately came to nought, while they twice had to come from behind to salvage a point against the Swiss last time out.
After collecting just one point from their last two games, Kasper Hjulmand’s men now need a positive result here to keep that second-place finish in their own hands.
As far as Friday’s visiting Spaniards are concerned, it’s a case of job done. The European Champions have won three and drawn one of their first four games, meaning that no matter what happens, they’re through to the quarter finals.
Win here and La Roja will definitely be going through as group winners, which is also likely to happen if they pick up just a point in Copenhagen.
Denmark vs Spain Betting tips
Two player bets appeals ahead of this fixture.
Christian Eriksen to Score
No longer the force of old domestically, Christian Eriksen remains an integral part of the Denmark set-up. We saw this at the Euros when the midfield maestro got his nation’s campaign up and running with a typically deft finish after ghosting into the box, while he’s pulled the strings during the current Nations League campaign too.
The 32-year-old, who sits fourth on Denmark’s list of all-time top scorers, scored last time out for his nation, notching against Switzerland, while he’s scored in one of his three starts for Manchester United too.
To be honest, odds of 11/2 on the Dane scoring here look rather generous. Yes, the Spanish will have plenty of the ball, but they’re not infallible, while they will afford Eriksen space to manoeuvre.
No player has taken more shots for Denmark during the first four matches of this League A campaign, with Eriksen averaging 3.10 shots per 90 minutes, as well as 1.24 shots on target.
Martin Zubimendi to Receive a Card
I’m also of the opinion that Martin Zubimendi looks generously priced to get booked in Copenhagen on Friday night.
The Spaniard has fast become a key part of Spain’s midfield set-up post European Championships and he’s certainly a creative force, while he has an eye for goal too, which he displayed in the reverse fixture.
However, what Zubimendi also displays is a sometimes too healthy helping of Spanish fire. Yet to be booked in the Nations League this time around, the 25-year-old has made four fouls, committing two fouls when these two met a month ago. On that occasion, as far as I’m concerned, he was lucky not to get his name taken.
Committing five fouls in his last three games, Zubimendi isn’t exactly a stranger to being cautioned by the referee, receiving 17 bookings for Real Sociedad since the start of the 2022-23 season, averaging 0.23 per 90 minutes, which makes a price of 7/2 look ever so slightly out of whack.
