Ipswich vs Man United prediction
For the Ipswich vs Man United match prediction, we believe the final score will be a 2-2 draw based on our analysis.
On several occasions this season, we’ve seen that this Ipswich team is not ready to roll over, while they’ve certainly got the offensive quality to hurt teams, so don’t for one second expect a far from consistent Man United team to go to Portman Road and have an easy afternoon.

This will be the first time that the pair have met since Manchester United beat Ipswich by three goals to nil in the EFL Cup during the 2015/16 season.
Ipswich vs Man United preview
This match will be played on 24/11/2024 at Portman Road. Kick off will be at 16:30 GMT.
Following a disappointing run, capped off by conceding a late, late goal to lose what would have been an excellent and well deserved point at Brentford, the Tractor Boys went into the international break off the back of some improved results.
First off, they bounced back from that tough-to-take defeat against Brentford by drawing against Leicester at Portman Road, before taking their form to the next level, winning away at Spurs, despite heading into the game at odds of 10/1. Hats off to anyone who backed them.
For United, there’s also been improvement of late, with the Red Devils returning to form with a thumping win over Leicester in the EFL Cup, which they followed with a decent draw against Chelsea.
After sharing the spoils with Chelsea, they got the better of PAOK in Europe, before once again battering Leicester at home. They’ll certainly have tougher tests over the coming weeks, but such results should mean that the United players head to Ipswich feeling confident.
Ipswich vs Man United betting tips
With a couple of seemingly generous prices floating about, the following bets appeal:
Liam Delap Over 0.5 Shots on Target
Many Ipswich players have acquitted themselves well in the Premier League this season, but few have impressed as much as Liam Delap, who is proving why he had a place at Manchester City between the ages of 16 and 21.
The young forward may never have cracked it at City, but let’s face it, there’s no shame in that, and he’s certainly shown everyone that he’s a player capable of delivering strong performances in the Premier League.
In the betting ahead of this one, the 21-year-old looks a little generously priced to work the United keeper at least once.
Quick, strong, direct and far from shy to shoot, Delap has gone for goal on a regular basis this season, shooting more times than any other Ipswich player in the Premier League, averaging 1.97 shots per 90 minutes.
Factor in that he’s also averaging 1.05 shots on target per 90 minutes and odds of 11/10 look a little on the large side if you ask me.
Liam Delap to Score
The man who many are saying should be called up to the England team also looks quite generously priced to find the back of the net in this game.
Let’s face it, Delap has looked ravenous on the pitch this season, showing a clear hunger for goals, and he’s so far done a decent job of satisfying that appetite, scoring six times in the league.
The son of famous long throw specialist Rory Delap also averages a rather eye-catching 0.70 goals per 90 minutes, averaging also 0.35 goals per shot, showing that he’s very much a clinical finisher.
At odds of 11/4, I’m backing him to keep showing us just how dangerous and clinical he can be by grabbing a goal in front of a home crowd on Sunday.
