This home game against a weak United side will likely be seen as an opportunity to put more points on the board.
Under their new Portuguese manager, the Red Devils have struggled to make forward strides. In fact, they’ve looked a little stuck in the mud, so much so that they seem to be exactly where they were when Erik ten Hag was relieved of his duties back in October.
It’s now just one win in four Premier League games for Man United, and there were very few signs that immediate improvement is on the way on Sunday, with Amorim’s men slumping to defeat at home to Bournemouth.

Given what we’ve seen from these two in recent times, ‘Wolves to Score Over 1.5 Goals’ looks quite generously priced in the early betting.
Let’s face it, we know that the hosts have plenty of offensive quality. They’ve got players that create chances and they’ve got players capable of scoring regular goals. There’s no doubt about that. Moreover, we’re talking about a United side that continues to look incapable of keeping things tight, and I’m really not sure that the early market has factored that in enough.
The visitors are without a clean sheet in six games in all competitions, conceding a rather worrying total of 14 goals during that time. They’ve conceded two or more in three of their last four in the Premier League.
What’s more, as bad as the hosts have been this season, they’re no strangers to putting goals away, notching two or more in three of their last four at home.
Matheus Cunha Over 0.5 Assists
I’m also all over Wolves’ talisman Matheus Cunha to register an assist. Much has been made about Cunha’s performances in front of goal this season, which have been nothing short of excellent, but he’s arguably been just as dangerous in a creative sense.
The Brazilian is Wolves’ number one player in terms of expected assisted goals, averaging 0.31 per 90 minutes. This stat alone makes odds of 5/1 (= 16.7% implied probability) look generous.
Having registered three assists this term, Cunha can certainly make things happen in that sense, ranking as the top Wolves player for key passes and passes into the final third, not to mention passes into the penalty area.
With the likes of Guedes and Larsen looking hungry in the forward line too, don’t be surprised if Cunha turns provider against what is a poor United defence. I won’t be, and at odds of 5/1, I’ll be betting on the 25-year-old to do just that.
