The midweek Premier League action continues on Wednesday night, when one of the venues set to fill up with fans is King Power Stadium, where Leicester and Crystal Palace will go head-to-head.

Having both got the job done in the FA Cup at the weekend, both teams will be looking to kick on, but can either come out on top? We’ll soon find out. Read on for our Leicester vs Crystal Palace prediction, tips and preview.

Leicester vs Crystal Palace prediction

For the Leicester vs Crystal Palace match prediction, we believe the final score will be a 2-1 win for the hosts based on our analysis.

Sure, the Foxes have struggled to pick up positive results in the league, but before that big FA Cup win, they had delivered two encouraging efforts against Man City and Aston Villa, which may just pave the way for a better result here.

Leicester vs Crystal Palace head-to-head statistics

This will be the second time this season that the Foxes and the Eagles have clashed. Back in September, they drew 2-2 at Selhurst Park, where a second-half double from Jean-Philippe Mateta cancelled out earlier goals from Jamie Vardy and Stephy Mavididi.

Leicester vs Crystal Palace preview

This match will be played on 15/01/2025 at King Power Stadium. Kick off will be at 19:30 GMT.

Having been unable to pick up points in the league against Man City or Aston Villa, two results that followed three other negative results, the Foxes bounced back at the weekend, taking full advantage of facing lower-level opposition, beating QPR by six goals to two in the FA Cup.

That big win should have lifted the spirits of Ruud van Nistelrooy’s men, who will now likely fancy themselves to make headway in a home game against a Crystal Palace side that hasn’t been hammering teams of late.

The visitors also resumed winning ways in the FA Cup at the weekend, though they did so in much less flamboyant fashion, beating League Two Stockport by just a goal to nil at home.

Scoring goals has been a bit of a problem for Oliver Glasner’s men of late, with them scoring more than once in neither of their last two games, doing so in just one of their last five.

Leicester vs Crystal Palace Betting tips

Two bets, both of which favour the hosts, appeal ahead of Wednesday’s game at King Power Stadium.

Leicester Draw No Bet

The visitors come into this game as quite strong favourites in the betting, though I can’t have that. I’m not saying that the Eagles shouldn’t be favourites here, they’ve done enough to justify some sort of market supremacy, but should they really be a shade of odds on? For my money, definitely not.

I know the Foxes have struggled, but it would be unfair to say that there hasn’t been slight improvement since Ruud van Nistelrooy took the reins, while if we look closely at their two efforts before that FA Cup win at the weekend, then it’s far from out of the question to fancy them to hold their own here.

Before trouncing QPR in the cup, with several key players enjoying confidence-boosting afternoons, the Foxes battled hard at Villa Park, losing by just a single goal, while they only lost by two goals at home to Man City prior to that, creating just about as much as their visitors. A similar effort here and they could easily grab a positive result.

Let’s face it, Oliver Glasner’s men haven’t exactly been firing on all cylinders of late, scoring very few goals, winning only one of their last four league games. On the road, the Eagles have won just two of their last six in all competitions, while they’ve scored more than once in just one of their last five in general, so don’t be too surprised if they make harder work of this than the early odds suggest.

Facundo Buonanotte to Score

At odds of 4/1, I also cannot resist taking Leicester Facundo Buonanotte to find the back of the net, which he did at the weekend, nodding home from a deft cross having ghosted into a dangerous position.

View post on Twitter

Alongside the still important Jamie Vardy, Buonanotte has been just about Leicester’s most effective player this season, and being no stranger to having a pop, especially from range, the Argentine is absolutely one of the key goal threats for the Foxes.

Given that he’ll be full of confidence following that goal at the weekend, and given that he’s averaging a quite chunky 0.34 goals per 90 minutes, odds of 4/1 look too big.

Buonanotte also averages 0.28 xG per 90 minutes, while of those who regularly play, he’s Leicester's most prolific player in terms of shots per 90, averaging 1.98.
