Saturday’s Premier League menu includes seven courses, one of which is West Ham vs Brentford, which will take place at London Stadium, where the hosts will be hoping to bounce back after losing last time out.

The Bees will also go to East London hoping to regain their sting following the taste of defeat when last in action. This is also a game between two teams that have had an extended rest, thanks to their lack of FA Cup involvement, so both should be raring to go. Read on for our West Ham vs Brentford bet builder tips.

Both Teams to Score

Both teams have had plenty of time to think about this fixture, and with neither having played for the best part of two weeks prior to Saturday’s kick-off, both should be chomping at the bit to get back at it, meaning that we could see quite a fast-paced game in East London.

If this is the case, then it’s easy to envisage both teams making plenty of offensive headway. After all, the hosts have failed to keep each of their last seven opponents out. At home, the Hammers are without a clean sheet in six, shutting out just one of the 11 visitors to London Stadium. Both teams have scored in seven of those 11.

Clean sheets aren’t exactly the commodity that the Bees deal in either, let’s be honest. Thomas Frank’s men have kept the ball out of their net in just two of their last six league games.

It’s also worth mentioning that West Ham rank as the league’s second-worst team in terms of expected goals against, surrendering an average of 1.94 per home game, while the visitors don’t exactly do well in that sense on the road, conceding an average of 1.75. This is very much a game where both can do some damage.

Carlos Soler to be Booked

Spanish midfielder Carlos Soler recently commented on how much he’s enjoying playing for Graham Potter, and it’s definitely fair to say that diminutive and crafty playmaker is an important cog in the West Ham machine, but he’s not exactly the best behaved, so he could very easily go in the book in what should be a game between two pumped-up teams looking to get back into the swing of things.

Soler has stepped outside of the rules on a regular basis this season, picking up five yellows, which is quite a lot given that he didn’t really establish himself as a starter until November.

The 28-year-old averages 0.45 bookings per 90 minutes, which essentially means that on average, he gets a yellow just less than once every other game. Given the odds available, that stat makes this a key selection here, one that offers value for money.

Yoane Wissa to Score

Rounding things off, I’m going to side with Yoane Wissa to score for the visitors. The DR Congo man hasn’t scored for a little while, but he’s been just about as deadly as anyone this season and it likely won’t be long until he finds the net for what will be the 12th time in the league during the current campaign.

View post on Twitter

The scorer of two goals in Brentford’s last four away games, Wissa averages a chunky 0.61 xG per 90 minutes this season, averaging also 0.60 goals per 90.

We’re also talking about Brentford’s most prolific forward in terms of shots, with Wissa averaging 2.71 shots per 90, not to mention 1.25 shots on target. Against a very leaky West Ham back-line, I’m betting that the 28-year-old ends his mini drought.

Recap - West Ham vs Brentford bet builder tips

The following selections combine to make a three-fold bet builder:

  • Both Teams to Score

  • Carlos Soler to be Booked

  • Yoane Wissa to Score

These selections above make up a bet builder paying 16/1 with BoyleSports.
