This week, Sunday won’t be the busiest day in the Premier League calendar, with just two games taking place, but they’re two sizable fixtures.

The day gets underway at Anfield, where Liverpool and Wolves go head-to-head, with both teams needing a win for contrasting reasons. The action on Merseyside precedes a huge game in North London, where Tottenham and Man United clash. Read below for our Premier League betting tips.

Premier League betting tips for Sunday

The games featured in this article both take place on 16/02/2025. Kick-offs are at 14:00 and 16:30 GMT.

From a value point of view, a trio of bets appeal ahead of Sunday’s Premier League games.

Liverpool vs Wolves - Jorgen Strand Larsen Over 0.5 Shots on Target

Going to Anfield is a terribly tough task for any Premier League side, let alone a team that continues to flirt with the relegation zone.

However, we’ve seen the Reds wobble a little of late, meaning that the visitors will have the luxury of taking on a home team not as confident and free-flowing as just a few weeks ago, while the visitors are also likely to be fresher considering that Arne Slot’s men played in a frantic Merseyside Derby on Wednesday night.

In other words, we could see Vitor Pereira’s men try to get forward more than usual here, and let’s face it, they are a threat on the break anyway. On this basis, forward Jorgen Strand Larsen looks a decent bet to register a shot on target.

After all, the Norwegian has been in fine form this season, while he has a habit of shooting with plenty of accuracy, averaging a chunky 1.13 shots on target per 90 minutes in the Premier League.

Now fit again, the big man gives Wolves a focal point, and with the likes of Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri, two of the leagues’ more creative players this term, providing, Stand Larsen, who has registered shots on target against the likes of Chelsea, Newcastle, Spurs, Man City and Arsenal this season, can cause the Liverpool stopper a few issues.

Liverpool vs Wolves - Pablo Sarabia Over 0.5 Shots on Target

As touched on above, if the visitors do look to take advantage of their extra freshness and get forward in this game, then another player who could cause problems is Pablo Sarabia, who is very much a big-game player, and who has a habit of hitting the target in games of this nature.

Involved much more in recent weeks, the Spaniard has registered shots on target against the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Newcastle this season, while he averages a pleasing 1.26 shots on target per 90 minutes in the league. Such a stat makes 11/8 look a little chunky, let’s be honest.

Tottenham vs Man United - Noussair Mazraoui 2+ Fouls

We’ll round Sunday’s bets off with a 6/5 shot as Spurs and United clash at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where both teams will be desperate for a positive result.

Given the odds available, this is an easy bet to place as far as I’m concerned. The Moroccan international has been no stranger to giving away fouls this season, establishing himself as United’s third most prolific fouler in the Premier League.

Moreover, the 27-year-old has developed a habit of making multiple fouls in the biggest, most tense fixtures. When these two met in the EFL Cup just before Christmas, Mazraoui gave away three fouls, while he’s also made multiple fouls in games against Arsenal (league and cup) and Man City. Oh, and he also gave away multiple fouls when the pair met in the league at Old Trafford back in October. On this basis, 6/5 looks big to me.
