Premier League accumulator bettors will once again be pleased that Saturday is just around the corner, and on this Saturday, there’s plenty to feast on, with seven games taking place, with Everton vs Man United and Aston Villa vs Chelsea bookending five 15:00 kick-offs.

As we often do at Sporting Post, we’re on the hunt for accumulator value, and ahead of this weekend’s action, we may just have found some. Let’s hope that translates into a fourth winning accumulator of the campaign. Read on for our Premier League football accumulator tips.

Accumulator tips for today

All of the games featured in this accumulator are due to take place on 17/08/2024, starting at 15:00 GMT.

A mixture of player bets, covering three different markets, make up Saturday’s accumulator selection, which pays just over 11/1 at betway.

Fulham vs Crystal Palace - Will Hughes to be Booked

Given his tendency to step outside of the rules and aggravate referees with what can be described as overzealous challenges, Will Hughes looks slightly generously priced to go into the book this weekend.

The Crystal Palace midfielder is absolutely no stranger to getting his name taken, receiving eight yellows this season. He may not have been booked in either of his last two, but don’t fall into the trap of thinking that he’s cleaned up his act. It won’t be long until a card is once again waved in his direction, let’s be real.

After all, this is a man that currently averages 0.48 cards per 90 minutes in the Premier League this term, while he has a habit of making multiple fouls away from home, which as far as I’m concerned, only bolsters the claims of this selection.

Ipswich vs Tottenham - James Maddison Over 0.5 Shots on Target

In a Spurs shirt this season, James Maddison really has excelled from a shooting point of view, there can be no denying that. Spurs have had their struggles, sure, and Maddison hasn’t always contributed as much as fans would expect him to, but he’s largely done his bit with his shooting boots, scoring nine league goals.

In terms of shots per 90 minutes, only Brennan Johnson and Dominic Solanke have outperformed Maddison, who averages a very pleasing 2.38 shots per 90, while he’s been more accurate than both of those players, averaging an eye-catching 1.12 shots on target per 90 minutes. Only Heung-min Son can better that, and only just, averaging 1.13.

Having returned to first-team action with a goal against Man United last weekend, the Englishman will likely be hungry for more, so don’t be surprised if he tests the Ipswich keeper at least once at Portman Road. I certainly won’t be.

Bournemouth vs Wolves - Matheus Cunha to Score or Assist

Rounding things off, I can’t resist siding with Matheus Cunha to score or assist as Wolves take on Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium.

The south-cast venue is not an easy place to go this season, but that shouldn’t worry Wolves’ dynamic Brazilian, who for my money, has easily been one of the best performers in the division this term.

The 25-year-old has made no less than 16 direct goal-contributions this season, scoring 12 and assisting four, a tally that only seven players in all of the Premier League have bettered, and let’s face it, none of those play for teams fighting against the drop.

Averaging an impressive 0.55 expected goals and assists per 90 minutes, Cunha is also no stranger to delivering in tough games, as he showed by scoring away at Anfield last weekend.

Chuck in his 90-minute averages of 3.53 shots, 1.37 shots on target, 0.72 goals and assists, plus the fact that he’s easily Wolves’ number one player in terms of key passes, expected assists and passes into the penalty area, and he’ll more than do for me.

Recap - Premier League Accumulator tips for 22/02/2025

There we have it, three bets combining to make Saturday’s Premier League accumulator bet:

  • Will Hughes to be Booked

  • James Maddison Over 0.5 Shots on Target

  • Matheus Cunha to Score or Assist

A three-fold accumulator made up of the above selections pays 11.27/1 with betway.
