The midweek Premier League action continues on Wednesday, when there are four more games for gamblers to quench their betting thirst, including a big one at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where Spurs and Man City will clash for the third time this season.

Having won back-to-back games for just the second time in 2025, beating Ipswich in resounding fashion at the weekend, the hosts will be looking to record a trio of wins in quick succession for the first time since early October 2024. Can they do it? Read on for our Tottenham vs Man City bet builder tips.

Tottenham vs Man City bet builder tips

This match will be played on 26/02/2025 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Kick off will be at 19:30 GMT.

Four bets stand out, all of which relate to shots on target, combining to make a bet builder paying 5/1 with betway. Let’s get stuck in.

Son Heung-min 1+ Shots on Target

We’ll kick this one off with Spurs captain and forward Son Heung-min to work the City keeper at least once. Only Brennan Johnson has taken more shots for Spurs this season, with Son registering 2.43 shots per 90 minutes, boasting an average of 1.14 shots on target per 90 minutes, which is a stat that no Tottenham player can better.

This season, the South Korean may not have been as prolific in terms of goals as he has been in the past, but he comes into this game having taken lots of shots recently, shooting two or more times in five of his last six Premier League appearances, averaging 2.16 shots per game during that time. In those six games, he’s registered five shots on target.

Shooting on target when the teams last met, Son has a decent record against City, especially at home, scoring four goals in his seven home matches (at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium). He’ll be hungry for more, that’s for sure.

James Maddison 1+ Shots on Target

Spurs second-best player this season in terms of shots on target per 90 minutes in the Premier League, James Maddison wasn’t asked to start Saturday’s game against Ipswich, instead coming off the bench late in the day, and that was likely to ensure that the Englishman was fully sharp for this game.

When the pair met earlier in the campaign, when Spurs triumphed at the Etihad, Maddison scored not once, but twice, while he’s made a name for himself as a scorer in big games this season, notching against Liverpool, Man United and Aston Villa.

What’s more, Maddison has been very happy to get into shooting positions and pull the trigger in the biggest games, hitting the target both home and away against Man United, as well as at home to Liverpool, at home to Aston Villa and away at Newcastle.

Given his average of 1.10 shots on target per 90 minutes, Maddison is an easy inclusion here.

Tottenham 5+ Shots on Target

Spurs haven’t exactly been shot shy in big games this season, while they’ve been quite accurate too, especially in games where they are afforded space to break into, as they will be here.

When the pair met in the EFL Cup at this venue, Ange Postecoglou’s men registered eight shots on target, while they upped that total to 11 when thumping City at the Etihad.

Over the last couple of weeks, after some poor efforts in various competitions, with their injury crisis seemingly easing, they’ve delivered some decent efforts in terms of shooting, registering seven shots on target at home to United, before recording six shots on target at Portman Road on Saturday.

10+ Match Shots on Target

In general, matches between these two teams tend to produce lots of shots and lots of shots on target. Earlier in the season, in that EFL Cup match at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the pair shared 11 shots on target.

At the Etihad back in November, the match contained 12 shots on target overall, while City’s two recent matches against Real Madrid contained 12 shots, which is positive. Additionally, each of Spurs’ last four matches (in all competitions) have contained at least ten shots on target.
