Sunday is a much quieter day for football on British shores, but there’s still the small matter of the FA Cup to focus on, with two games taking place, including one at Old Trafford, where Man United and Fulham will battle it out for a place in the quarters.

For a change, the hosts are not looking to bounce back after beating Ipswich in the week, despite having a man sent off. Will that effort pave the way for first back-to-back successes since January? The visitors are also looking to double down and pick up consecutive wins after their victory at Molineux in the week. Read on for our Man United vs Fulham betting tips and best value bets.

Man United vs Fulham value betting tips

This game takes place on 02/03/2025 at Old Trafford. Kick off will be at 16:30 GMT.

In terms of value, two bets appeal ahead of this game, both of which revolve around goals being scored.

Over 2.5 Goals

The hosts come into this game in rather high-scoring form, with four goals being scored in their game against Everton, before five goals went in as the Red Devils hosted Ipswich on Wednesday evening.

The visitors have also been involved in their share of relatively goal-filled encounters in recent times, with at least three goals being notched in four of their last five in all competitions.

It’s not as if the Cottagers have kept the goals down on the road either, with them scoring two or more goals in each of their last seven away games in all competitions. Only one of those seven games contained less than three match goals, which is hard to ignore, especially with odds of 4/5 floating about.

Both teams should fancy themselves to score goals here, and with neither shying away from high scorers of late, odds of 4/5 look a bit big for my liking.

Fulham to Score Over 1.5 Goals

If one thing continues to be evident about the current Man United team it’s that they’re there to be got at, with gaping holes in a defence that really does struggle the moment that any pressure is applied. We saw this at Goodison Park last weekend, while we also saw plenty of it during the week against Ipswich.

Each of United’s last two opponents have scored a couple of goals, and I really would argue that neither of those sides offer the same level of threat as the Cottagers, especially on the break.

The hosts really struggle to guard against the break too, as we’ve seen not only in the last week, but at home against the likes of Crystal Palace, Brighton, Newcastle and Bournemouth, all of whom have gone to Old Trafford and scored multiple goals in the last few months.

Ultimately, do odds of 13/10 reflect Fulham’s chances of scoring at least two goals at Old Trafford accurately enough? For my money, no, they do not. Therefore, there’s value to be had.

Recap - Man United vs Fulham best value bets

The table below shows the odds available for our value betting tips at the time of writing, as well as what I consider to be fair odds for these selections. It’s important to note that to take value, you should be taking odds that are bigger than the fair odds. If bigger odds are not available, then there’s no value, which means no bet.
