On Saturday afternoon, five Premier League games take place, including Everton vs West Ham, which kicks off at Goodison Park, where David Moyes will go up against his old team, whilst currently managing another of his old teams.
Can the Toffees continue to improve under the astute leadership of the experienced Scotsman? Or will the visitors bounce back having lost last time out? Read on for our Everton vs West Ham betting tips and best value bets.

Everton vs West Ham value betting tips
This game takes place on 15/03/2025 at Goodison Park. Kick off will be at 15:00 GMT.
As something of a David Moyes derby fixture takes place at Goodison Park, two bets appeal from a value point of view.
Over 2.5 Goals
The early betting ahead of this game would suggest that a relatively low-scoring game is the most likely outcome, and while I don’t totally disagree with that, I think the chances of a relatively high-scoring (three or more goals) are greater than the early odds suggest, as both the tables featured in this article illustrate. In other words, as far as I’m concerned, there’s an edge for us to grab by betting on ‘Over 2.5 Goals’ all the time odds of 13/10 are available.
Let’s face it, the Toffees have been much more fluid and forward-thinking under David Moyes than they were under Sean Dyche, which is likely why they’ve started to be involved in more goal-filled games. Four of the last five games at Goodison Park have contained at least three goals. In fact, four of the last five at Goodison have contained four or more goals.
It’s also not as if the goals have dried up for the Hammers on the road, with goals going in at both ends in four of their last five travelling games. Three of those five contained at least three goals.
Carlos Alcaraz to Score
January signing Carlos Alcaraz has certainly made a positive impression since arriving at Everton, and for me, the Argentine looks like a shrewd acquisition.
Alcaraz has scored one goal in five Premier League appearances since his switch from Flamengo, averaging a chunky 0.40 goals per 90 minutes.
What I like about Alcaraz is the fact that he’s direct and clearly hungry to make a difference in the final third, shooting regularly, firing off seven shots in his last two appearances, hitting the target at least once against Brentford, Wolves and Palace.
Having come off the bench and looked very lively against Wolves last time out, the Argentine may well start here, and if he does, by my reckoning, he’s a lovely bet to score at anything bigger than odds of 11/4.
Recap - Everton vs West Ham best value bets
The table below shows the odds available for our value betting tips at the time of writing, as well as what I consider to be fair odds for these selections. It’s important to note that to take value, you should be taking odds that are bigger than the fair odds. If bigger odds are not available, then there’s no value, which means no bet.
Bet | Odds available | Fair odds | Value (%) |
---|---|---|---|
Over 2.5 Goals | 13/10 | 21/20 | +5.1% |
Carlos Alcaraz to Score | 10/3 | 11/4 | +3.6% |
To recap, our best value bets ahead of this Premier League fixture are:
Over 2.5 Goals @ 13/10 with Betway
Carlos Alcaraz to Score @ 10/3 with BoyleSports
