Following what was a slightly disappointing UEFA Europa League result on Thursday evening, Spurs travel to Wolverhampton on Sunday afternoon, where they’ll take on an in-form Wolves side, one that is buoyed by the return of star player Matheus Cunha.

If he was being completely honest, Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou, who is very much now all-in on the Europa League, could probably do without this game. Will the visitors build momentum ahead of their season-defining game in Germany? Or will the hosts make it four wins on the bounce? Read on for our Wolves vs Tottenham betting tips and best value bets.

Wolves vs Tottenham value betting tips

This game takes place on 13/04/2025 at Molineux. Kick off will be at 14:00 GMT.

Looking at the early odds ahead of Sunday’s fixture at Molineux, two bets appeal, both of which favour the hosts.

Wolves to Score Over 1.5 Goals

We must be honest and say that this game at Molineux is not what Spurs want to be thinking about right now. The Premier League season could end now for Sunday’s visitors and it wouldn’t make any difference whatsoever. Domestically, it’s been a woeful campaign, there’s no getting away from that.

The only potential saving grace for Ange and his players is the Europa League, so it’s all about next Thursday’s game in Frankfurt. We should thus expect to see a less-than-full-strength team take to the field in Wolverhampton.

In contrast, the hosts, who are certainly in decent form following three wins on the bounce, have little else to focus on, and after they secured their Premier League safety last weekend, Vitor Pereira’s men can play with freedom in front of a home crowd.

When the pair met earlier in the season, the Old Gold scored twice, they’ve scored two or more in two of their last three fixtures, while their leading scorer and most dangerous player Matheus Cunha returns from suspension.

Given all of the above, coupled with the fact that Spurs have rarely defended with any sort of solidity this term, I really wouldn’t be surprised if the hosts enjoyed themselves offensively on Sunday, so much so that odds of 10/11 are worth snapping up.

Marshall Munetsi Over 0.5 Shots on Target

January signing Marshall Munetsi has taken well to the task at Molineux, delivering some very lively and well-rounded performances, bursting forward from midfield to offer an offensive presence, especially in the recent absence of Matheus Cunha.

In the league Munetsi has contributed one goal and one assist, averaging a decent 0.35 goals and assists per 90 minutes. In general, though, it’s been his rather tireless efforts that have been impressive, while he’s also shown up well from a shooting point of view, displaying a fondness for getting forward and firing off shots, especially as someone arriving late in the box.

Munetsi currently averages a very decent 2.43 shots per 90 minutes, hitting the target three times in his last four Premier League appearances, including against Ipswich last weekend.

All things considered, against a likely weakened Spurs team, one that has had less time to rest and prepare for this fixture, the high-intensity midfielder is worth betting on to once again surge forward and work the opposition keeper.

It’s important to note that to take value, you should be taking odds that are bigger than the fair odds. If bigger odds are not available, then there’s no value, which means no bet.
