Hakan Calhanoglu Over 0.5 Shots on Target

Turkish midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu failed to register a shot on target at the Allianz Arena in the first leg, but he wasn’t shy to shoot, and having made a name for himself as a big-game player over the years, this ball-striking specialist will almost certainly be looking to go for goal on Wednesday, so much so that he looks a little generously priced to register a shot on target.

Calhanoglu has attempted eight shots in his last three appearances, as well as 13 in his last five. He’s registered four shots on target in his last six games for club and country, registering seven shots on target in his last ten. He’s been keen to pull the trigger on big UCL nights too, shooting multiple times against Man City, RB Leipzig and Leverkusen.

Adept at shooting from range, while no stranger to whipping direct free-kicks at goal either, the Inter playmaker is going to shoot in this game, make no mistake about that, and all the time odds of 6/5 are available, I’m betting that at least one of his missiles hits the target.

Alessandro Bastoni to Receive a Card

I’m also interested in a bet on Inter’s Alessandro Bastoni to go in the book, at least I’m interested all the time odds of 11/4 are on offer. By my reckoning, such odds are too big, and here’s why:

For starters, this is a man who generally struggles to stay out of trouble. Only one Inter Milan player has made more fouls than Bastoni in all competitions, with the Italian averaging 1.49 fouls per 90 minutes. In the Champions League, again, he’s Inter’s second most prolific player in terms of fouls, while only one Inter player has gone into the book more times than Bastoni in this competition.

In all competitions this season, the 26-year-old has picked up eight cards, and those cards have tended to come in the biggest games, with Bastoni being booked in fixtures against Atalanta, Feyenoord, Milan (x2), Lazio and RB Leipzig. He also picked up cards for Italy in big UEFA Nations League games against Belgium and Germany, further supporting the claim that he’s a man who goes a little too far on the more high-pressure occasions.

Let's have it right, the visitors are also going to throw everything at this, and it's not as if the Bayern boys lack dangerous offensive players, so Bastoni is likely to have his hands full, and when this man has lots to deal with, he usually gives the referee a reason to act.
