Saturday afternoon brings us five Premier League games, one of which takes place in West London, where Brentford and Brighton will go head-to-head in what is a battle for the European spots.

It remains likely that the team finishing the season in eighth will qualify for a place in the UEFA Conference League next season, so both teams have plenty to play for here. Can the hosts win for the first time in four matches? Or will the visitors end their losing run having won none of their last five in all competitions? Read on for our Brentford vs Brighton player betting tips.

This game takes place on 19/04/2025 at Brentford Community Stadium. Kick off will be at 15:00 GMT.

Before the Bees look to sting the Seagulls at Brentford Community Stadium, two player bets catch the eye from a value point of view. These are as follows:

Mikkel Damsgaard to Score or Assist

Danish midfielder Mikkel Damsgaar has enjoyed himself in a Brentford shirt this season, especially in a creative sense, providing no shortage of supply for the likes of Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa.

As things stand, during the current campaign, only Wissa and Mbeumo have made more direct goal contributions for Brentford than Damsgaard, who has 13 goals and assists to his name.

The 24-year-old is averaging a quite chunky 0.43 goals and assists per 90 minutes, while he also ranks as Brentford’s top man in terms of assists alone, plus he’s the number one player in the team when it comes to progressive passes and final-third passes.

It’s been a while since Damsgaard made a direct goal contribution, with his last goal or assist coming back in late February against Leicester, but this match against a very leaky and open Brighton side looks like a nice opportunity for the Dane to end his relative drought.

Christian Norgaard to be Carded

Also for the hosts, Christian Norgaard, who like Damsgaard plays his international football for Denmark, looks a decent bet to go in the book, at least while generous-looking odds of 3/1 are up for grabs.

No Brentford player has made more fouls than Norgaard this season, with the Danish patroller averaging 1.46 fouls per game. He’s been booked six times in all competitions, and to be honest, he can probably count himself a little lucky that his number of cards is that modest.

Booked against Arsenal last weekend, Norgaard comes into this game having made five fouls in his last two appearances, while he’s been booked twice in his last four games for club and country. When the Bees played Brighton earlier in the season, Norgaard made multiple fouls.

Clearly more likely to get in trouble with the referee than any other Bees games, with this being a big games, one that definitely has something riding on it, against a side that certainly does a decent job of drawing fouls, Brentford’s most prolific fouler is well worth betting on to get booked all the time 3/1 is available.

To be clear, to take value, you should be taking odds that are bigger than the fair odds. If bigger odds are not available, then there’s no value, which means no bet.
