Another Saturday of football is just around the corner, which should be music to the ears of accumulator bettors, who’ll be looking to get stuck into five Premier League fixtures.
There’s no lunchtime kick-off this weekend, leaving four games to be played at 15:00 GMT, before Aston Villa and Newcastle battle it out in the 17:30 kick-off. As we often are here at Sporting Post, we’re on the hunt for some accumulator value, looking to land a fifth winning acca of the season. Read on for our Premier League football accumulator tips for 19/04/2025.
Accumulator tips for today
All of the games featured in this accumulator are due to take place on 19/04/2025, starting at 15:00 GMT.
Three player shots-on-target bets combine to make up an accumulator paying 8.7/1 with betway.
Brentford vs Brighton - Kevin Schade Over 0.5 Shots on Target
Ahead of a clash in West London between the Bees and Seagulls on Saturday afternoon, not for the first time this season, home-team forward Kevin Schade looks a little generously priced to register a shot on target.
It’s not been a bad campaign for the man with four Germany caps to his name, scoring seven Premier League goals, while he’s certainly made his presence known in a shooting sense. Only Yoane Wissa and Bryan Mbeumo have taken more shots than Schade for Brentford in the league, while only Wissa averages more shots on target than Schade, who boasts an average of 0.88 shots on target per 90 minutes.
The German can be forgiven for not working the keeper against either Chelsea or Arsenal recently, with his team doing more defensive graft than anything else, but he was in fine shooting form prior to that, working the keeper against Newcastle, Bournemouth and Aston Villa, so don’t be surprised if the 23-year-old registers a shot on target against a Brighton side that has done anything but defend well of late.
Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth - Alex Scott Over 0.5 Shots on Target
If we think about Bournemouth in an offensive sense this season, then several players come to mind before Alex Scott, but the youngster has impressed with his recent performances, so much so that he’s now starting week in, week out, so I really wouldn’t be surprised if he caused a Palace side that has just conceded ten goals in a week a few issues here.
On Monday night, as the Cherries got the better of the Cottagers, Scott turned in a lively performance, pushing forward with purpose, carrying the ball very confidently, while he wasn’t shy to shoot either, letting fly three times, testing the keeper once.
The England U21 international has now taken seven shots in his last three starts for Bournemouth, registering three shots on target, while he’s now made the opposition keeper work four times in his last five games. I like such stats.
Aston Villa vs Newcastle - Marco Asensio Over 0.5 Shots on Target
Finally, we come to Marco Asensio, who but for a couple of serious injuries would not be playing for Aston Villa, let’s be honest. When the Mallorca native burst onto the scene for Real Madrid a few years ago, he looked like a world beater, and for a while, he was, scoring wondrous goals for the Spanish giants. Unfortunately, a couple of serious injuries hindered his progression.
Since arriving at Villa on loan from PSG, though, the 29-year-old has impressed, scoring eight goals and registering one assist in just 14 appearances in all competitions. Such stats are hard to knock.
Asensio has been anything but afraid to pull the trigger in a Villa shirt, getting into lots of good positions in and around the box, shooting an average of 3.21 times per 90 minutes.
Having come off the bench to register a shot on target against his parent club during the week, with Unai Emery looking to keep things fresh, the Spaniard should start this game, and let’s face it, with his wand-like left foot, he’ll be looking to shoot whenever he can.
Following six shots on target in his last five appearances in all competitions, Asensio is well worth adding to the shot-on-target line-up here.
