Which Manchester United players spend the most days injured per year? Sporting Post has crunched the numbers.

Manchester United suffered more first team injuries than any other Premier League club during the 2023/24 season, and their start to this campaign hasn't seen their squad fare much better.

Long term absences to key first team players such as Luke Shaw, Rasmus Højlund and big-money signing Leny Yoro have no doubt disrupted Erik Ten Hag's plans already for the new season.

In the table below you can see which of Man United's first team players miss the most and fewest days per season from injuries.

Notes on the data:

Analysts at Sporting Post calculated the average number of days per season players have spent injured up to the past five full seasons (2019/20 to 2023/24) for the first team squad of Manchester United. To qualify for the rankings, a player needed at least three senior seasons under the belt. Illnesses such as coronavirus and time spent on the sidelines for personal reasons were excluded from the final counts. Injuries counted include those any player has experienced while playing for more than one club during the past five years. Injury records were sourced from transfermarkt and BeSoccer, and are correct as of September 2024.
